just wondering, would be
MUCH EASYIER if they had a person drop off the helicopter on the moving train than do all this?
I'm not rich!I'm just a poor man with money. :) (from the movie: Love in the Time of Cholera)

That train is moving way faster than a helicopter could. It was unsafe speeds. They would also need a long stretch where there was no trees, tunnels or anything in the way. It wasn't that easy for a helicopter to comfortably go at that speed and drop someone down on it. Not only that but they'd probably have to drop a rail worker who knew how to stop it.
shareThey attempted to do that by putting another train infront of 777 and slowing it down. Then having an ex marine who works as a conductor be lowered down from a chopper. It didn't work as he was sent flying back into the second engine.

Well you are right there

whaat?
"It was unsafe speeds."
if they are at the same speed, the net difference for the marine guy is 0 mph
"They would also need a long stretch where there was no trees, tunnels or anything in the way."
they had that in spades.
"It wasn't that easy for a helicopter "
well the news copter seemes to be glued to the locomotive side window the whole film!
"they'd probably have to drop a rail worker who knew how to stop it."
how hard can it be? especially with an advisor on the radio.
You didnt really believe your own bullshit there did you? just wanted to counter the other guys post?
So they put a train in front of 777 to slow it down, did no one think about getting on 777 simply stepping of the back of the train in front of 777 instead of trying to climb on 777 using a helicopter and a long rope? If the guy wouldt have pulled the brake like an idiot, the trains would have aligned nicely
share"MUCH EASYIER if they had a person drop off the helicopter on the moving train than do all this?"
wtf does that mean? they did have a person drop off a helicopter. stupid tho it was.
or did you men directly off the chopper not on a rope? yes that would be easier.
not as easy as the guy in the train in front just strolling round , hopping on the train and shutting it down though.
