Three Scenes Make It All Worthwhile

First, the incredible Channing Tatum's tap dance number. Didn't even know Channing Tatum is that talented in this department.

Second, the breathtaking Scarlett Johansson's synchronized mermaid swimming scene. Wow! what a pleasure for the sense of sight!

Third, the cowboy horsing scenes with Alden Ehrenreich. He's a joy to watch with other scenes as well (e.g. the scene with Ralph Fiennes, and the waiting scene by the limousine).

I would add the scenes about the theological debate between the religious leaders, the Lazy Ol' Moon film scene and the date with Hobie and Carlotta where they were "fixing to be friendly."

The film is a collection of scenes - some superb, many good and a few dull ones.

I think it would have been better received had they left the Scarlett and Channing scenes out.

I watched it a 2nd time out of boredom, but skipping those scenes, and I found it flowed much better than my initial viewing.

It's like Burn After Reading, Men Who Stare at Goats, Life Aquatic, type humor than one must watch multiple times to have the grins turn to chuckles.

I loved Hobie and Laurentz's "Say it this way" bit. Channing Tatum's tap dance number was amazing, and funny. Finally, I loved where Mannix slaps Baird repeatedly. The utter look of shock on Clooney's face was priceless.
