I do know about this era of Hollywood history though it was a tiny bit before my time.

Overall the movie was darling, a great watch, and there were many sweet moments.

What's to hate?

Agree completely. Very fun and refreshing. By far the best take on the Hollywood red scare genre that I have seen. Even the voice over did not bother me.

Me too. Who cares if there is a point? Its a comedy, Its hilarious! It's a parody of rhe ridicuous way Hollywood supposedly was in the 50s. Cold war, McCarthyism, crazy homophobia, affairs of starlets...
I laughed my head off when Francis McDermott got caught in the cutting machine!

Me too! They did a great job recreating that era.

There was a touch of "Arizona" in this movie. Fun to watch!
