Channing Tatum can act....wow

I remember seeing previews for that movie Step-Up and I thought he was the cookie cutter type with a pretty face...after seeing this movie I actually respect him as an actor...all I can say is wow thats good. Hope he does movies that display that kind of talent in the future.

yea, i agree. i was really impressed. his character was the most interesting.

I have only seen him in this and was surprised he was in those other teen and dancing type movies. But he's going to be one of the stars of the GI Joe movie.

i don't know about an oscar, but after seeing this i wondered why he doesn't pick better roles. he can definitely handle them.

For another good performance, check out Stop-Loss if you haven't already.

reply

Yes, This film and Stop-Loss were two of his best performances. Shes the man and Step Up, you gotta give him some credit there, he was just starting out..while I think both were decent movies I think hes really starting to take on bigger and better roles. Although most of the douches over at his board dont seem to think to highly of him.

agreed!

He MADE this movie for me. Forget Downey, screw LeBouf. Channing Tatum made this film. Playing a guy that was doomed from the start. I don't know why he didn't any recognition. Where's his independent spirit award? The Golden globe. the fresh tomato. Everyone just passed over it. I hope he does something else where he can use his acting muscles.

reply

Yeah, an extremely powerful performence from Channing Tatum.

His character reminded me of Matt Dillon's character (Dally) in The Outsiders.

reply

He was really good in this movie. I totally forgot he was in Step Up.
