this is the most powerful movie i have seen. not saying the most ever. just imo of the movies i have seen. i wont forget this film.

shareyeah I watched it last night on a whim and it still runs through my mind now. I think it's great. It isn't my very favorite film but it is the most personal. Most movies I don't truly care about the characters they give me but with this one I did.
shareI agree that this is a brilliant movie. I love it when I see something so incredible that I start to wonder if it was the script...or the directing...or the cast that made it so incredible. And when I can't figure out which of those was the key part of the movie's success, I know I've seen something which will stay with me for a very long time.

It's something that hits so close to home - kids who desperately want to be better than their situation but have no idea how to escape or break free. There's something subtly tragic about the reunion with Laurie. Still on the same corner fifteen years later, as if she's waiting for something.
