Game storyline was 10x better

I FINALLY watched the movie the other day, and it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. I mean, it was painfully obvious that they had all these white people trying to play middle-eastern people (just because some middle eastern people have light skin doesn't mean that all white people can play them, that's like saying English people can play Chinese characters because they have the same skin color).

Compared to the game, I liked the inclusion of the brothers, as it added more depth. But I still felt that the game had a better story. Here was a movie were the lead character was already kind of a "good guy," there wasn't a lot of growth for him, whereas in the game, he goes from an arrogent person to the prince he should be.

I also liked the ending of the game better, with what the prince says to the princess (those who played the game know what I'm talking about).

Overall, I'd give the movie a C or a 7/10. Not the greatest movie, but not the worst.

Well, I've got news for you pal, you ain't leadin' but two things: Jack and sh*t and Jack left town

Yup, the game had a far better story and character development, which is ironic really since the creator of the game said they changed the story so it could be "better" and more suitable for a movie... :/

The game was also far more epic because it had monsters in it..

I'm a big fan of the SoT trilogy, this movie did so many things wrong, my biggest gripes were giving the prince a name and how the parkour had so many jump cuts.

I honestly would have preferred if the movie was the Prince traversing the palace for 8 hours with various puzzles and enemies.

If they do make a sequel I hope they include the Dahaka (physical representation of the inevitability of fate) from Warrior Within.
