Double episode - meh

What a terrible couple of episodes. There was a couple of funny moments with Charlie alone in the bar but the rest fell totally flat. Can't think of a single funny moment in part two. I wonder why. No Dennis...

Also, Mac taking charge and being all bossy was pretty weird. Like a totally different character. They're losing it sad to say.

lol what? Mac trying to take charge is far from new. There are many instances. Like in "The Gang Solves the Gas Crisis" - He starts out insisting that he is "the brains", only to be told later by Dennis that he is "the muscle" while Dennis, himself, is "the looks" and "the brains". Later, Mac insists that everything was off because they weren't including Frank, once again labeling himself "the brains" and attempting to take charge.

You may not have liked the episodes, and with everything being subjective, I won't/can't argue that. And, I certainly won't argue the fact that everything is better with Dennis, but... They're still going strong, IMO, as evidenced by the season finale.

Yeah, he has taken charge before. There was just something different about it. I guess he's usually submissive when Dennis is there to shut him down. Without Dennis, he doesn't have that restraint.

I didn't care for the finale to be honest. I can appreciate the work that went into it but it just didn't 'fit' for me.

Yeah, Mac's definitely the "bottom" in that dynamic.

Thought the Home Alone episode was terrible, but the one where they went to the Super Bowl had its moments. It was fun just watching all the old guys like Rex, Jort Soldier, the Waitress, and Bill Ponderosa show up.
