ok but OMG, how could Dee do that to Cricket?

I watched the "gang exploits a miracle" and I know the gang does self-destructive things, and Dee's bad to Cricket, but she basically relentlessly went after him and didn't stop until he destroyed his life for her. To me that was almost out of character for her. I understand how their being self-absorbed ruins other people's lives but she went out of her way to make him miserable through all those lies she gave him about being in love with him.

Especially in the early seasons when the gang wasn't as exaggerated, I don't even understand why she did that if she wasn't even partially sincere.

I don't think it was out of character for her. Dee has always had a much higher view of herself than other people do. Cricket is the one person who is actually in love with her and acts the way that she thinks everyone should. She doesnt care about him, but she likes the attention and she maximizes it by stringing him along.
