Will this be the Make or Break season?

I'm a huge fan of the show but it's been slipping for a while and feels like this will be the make or break season. It feels a bit like how The Trailer Park Boys has gone off the Swayze Train of Crazy Lately. Although to not sound too pessimistic, both shows did do a better season last year than the year prior, which is a good sign.

Will they get back on the right track, or is there not a problem in your opinion?

I've enjoyed every season so far. Don't see a dip in quality personally.

It's cheap. It's on a network that doesn't really give a *beep* on it's ratings as it's more or less the marquee show of the network. And it does very well on netflix and all other streaming platforms. Honestly I feel will go on as long the cast stays together. FX by a certain amount of dumb luck has always done what's best for the show, by more or less not giving a crap. And moving it to FXX gave it more or less an unlimited lifespan.

In terms of the actual longevity of the show? No. It's already signed on through season 14. In terms of legacy? Maybe.

Always Sunny is up there with The Office and Arrested Development as my favorite comedy show, and even I thought last season (11) had some really weak episodes. Suburbs, the leprechaun one, and to a lesser extent the skiing episode were the only ones I really enjoyed from beginning to end. Being Frank is possibly the worst episode of the series in my opinion (I know others liked the change, but I thought it was way over the top and corny).

After reading the plot synopsis for 12.1, I think they're really on the verge of jumping the shark. The magic of the middle seasons isn't gone, but I find myself cringing more and more often, and not in a good way.
