Not clever enough to warrant 20 minute set up of a well observed joke

I like they keep trying something new. I've never seen How to make a murderer which I'm assuming this is based on.

And I bet it was spot on directorial and tone wise but it was a bit boring for me. and thats not often i say that about Always Sunny - there's been some (IMO) poor episodes but never really boring.

The observation at the end was good but everything preceding that didn't really work for me

I've never seen How To Make A Murderer. I loved this last episode though (except for the last few minutes). The gang's crazy antics had me laughing the whole time. I do find it weird that Charlie and Mac suddenly produced such a high-quality episode. If other people produced it and they were just in on it / helping them, then fine, but that was not clear to me. The gang is supposed to be a bunch of nobodies, losers, and this season they have already made national television twice. Again, the rest of the episode was superb for me.
