And it has been for the past several years now.
Don't get me wrong, I love to group as an ensemble, but going by individual characters, the best episodes of the past several seasons have all primarily been starring Dennis. He's definitely the funniest character currently on the show.
If I was ranking them in order it would go -

Frank
Charlie
Mac
Dee
Again not to put down the others, they're all great.. it's just Dennis is on another level.

2) Mac
3) Dee
4) Frank
5) Charlie
All are hilarious though.
Mac is my favorite (Dennis a close second), but that is definitely the correct chain of screen dominance. I like Charlie, but the seemingly conscious decision to moderate his influence is what has made this a great show all these years.

I would say as an actor glen definitely shines through. As a character Charlie is my favorite. To do a ranking like yours I would do 1a Dennis 1b Charlie 3 frank 4a mac 4 b dee.

Well Dennis has always been the glue of the group so I think naturally he would find himself near the top. I also think acting has less to do with the members shining but rather the characters themselves. There's something utterly fascinating about Dennis as he almost appears as though he has it all together, whereas in reality he is fucking nuts.
On another note, I honestly feel like Katelyn Olsen is being squandered as Dee. She's funny as shit off camera but her character legitimately annoys me in half the episodes. They need to have her as less of a victim, even if it involves her spectacularly failing in the end. I'm getting tired of how much she gets ragged on. Season 12 finale does not fall under that category though because that was absolutely hilarious and she didn't get insanely screwed at any point.
