I'm not digging it so far. The water park episode was pretty good. All the others so far feel very lazy and phoned in. The last one especially felt lazy. It was just a bunch of references to The Jinx and Making a Murderer.
Yeah the waterpark episode was the only one that seemed normal. All of the other episodes have just felt like experiments.

But season 12, so far I don't really like much. I never had much qualms with that IASP had became very formulaic over the years. But now they are experiencing with the formula, and I feel its unnecessary. It's a bit similar to South Park IMO, which did it do a much stronger extent when they introduced the season arks. A new idea, but the show was better before.
Nah, this season has been fire. 4 good episodes, 1 bad and 1 meh. Every season a hoard of complainers come post about how this season or that season isn't up to snuff so just consider yourself another one of the played out critics that always rag on what's new.

shareHonestly, I love it when they try new things. It's season 12 and loyal fans of this show already know it inside and out. The only episode I wasn't a fan of was the Situation comedy one...it felt like a rehash of the much better 'The Gang Tries Desperately to Win an Award.' Since I started watching this show in season four there have been complaints about the show not being as good. Each episode of IASIP gets better with each viewing.

I agree with most of this, except I loved every episode, even the "sitcom" one. Love they're trying new things while still being "Philly".
shareIt's been trending in this direction for a few seasons now. Season 11 was the most experimental before this season started, but so far this season is going over much better for me.

Sorry but I think this season has been quite strong so far. I thought this last episode was really really good and very entertaining. Of course some of the episodes have been better or worse than others, but that's usually to be expected when it comes to any television series. And weird is by no means a negative description for describing a particular season of a long running show such as this one. Weird can often be very fun and entertaining when done in a creative way.

I don't know what think about this show anymore. It's more clever than it is funny. It's good. But that's not exactly the same thing as being enjoyable.

Im loving it. I think the writing is top notch. I havent connected with EVERYTHING (the episode with the mom's tv show was ok) but overall i laugh like crazy at the show. Also the episodes have covered SUCH different ground in each. Finally I am beyond impressed with their ability to continue to find boundaries to push in creative and hilarious ways.
