Well, if we use OP's plot, Apocalypto 2 would have to take place 20 years after Apocalypto 1 then. Jaguar Paw would be in his 40s likely.
Originally, Cortes met the Mayans (1517?), then bypassed them to go to Moctezuma's city (modern day mexico city), fought and killed all the Aztecs (1521), stole their gold and left. Years later (1535), conquistadors came back to form New Spain in Mayan territory. Then they started killing Mayans.
Originally, they just wanted gold (which the Aztecs had a lot of and the Mayans had none of). 20 years later, they came back for land instead of gold.

I figured even an idiot would realize I didn't literally mean a genocide. I meant he killed all the Aztecs/Mexica/Whatever-historically-correct-name-you-want-to-call-them who opposed him as he was trying to smuggle the gold out of the city for the last time.
Anyway, this is all beside the point. My point was, Apocalypto 2 would have to take place around 1535 at the earliest.
