Best scene?
Each time I watch Jaguar paw shout out and challenge them to come over, I get goosebumps. What an inspiring figure he is.

The moment Jaguar Paw escapes into the jungle and the first couple of minutes of the chase begin. It makes my blood rush, it is so awesome. Fast pased and great camera work with really intense music.
sharethose chasey scenes are like my endless Nightmares , of being chased or falling and having no control over the situation

Hands down...the hornet's/bee's nest being used as a weapon. That is my favorite part in the whole movie. Nature can be your best friend and worst enemy.
YOU MADE ME PLAY SECOND BASE!
Rudy Youngblood!!! All I can say is he played the heck out of Jaguar Paw!!! His facial expressions were so believable and made me feel that I was experiencing it right with him! Awesome!

shareProbably the running away from the panther scene.

The little girl, standing by the edge of the river with a baby on her hip and the other children gathered near her is my favorite scene.
I am moved to tears when she calls out," Don't worry. They are mine now. I will take care of them. they are mine now." Her mother whispers a prayer to her Godess to tenderly watch over the children.

"The little girl, standing by the edge of the river..."
yeh that's a very moving upsetting scene, very realistic.
Another couple of good uns - when they're being led in shackles along a ledge and one is cut free to fall. Pretty horrific.
But for sheer wow factor the moment Jaguar Paw runs free and the chase is on.
A review of this film described it (in a good way) as one long chase sequence and that's what keeps you hooked.
after the dream he has and the barking dog suddenly stops/gets killed
shareYep, that was pretty powerful.
I choose to believe what I was programmed to believe
The hornets. The face shots of the guys stopping, and then Jaguar Paw covered in black mud with only his eyes visible, holding the nest like a waiter holds a tray, starring at them calmly, taking tiny rhythmic forward steps, then he repositions the nest wrapped in the leaves, and throws it out like he's unrolling a rug.
Love it.

My favorite scene is where the chief guy gets impaled like the pig in the beginning. Can't believe I'm the first to mention it.

Not sure if that was the best scene, but it was probably the most satisfying. Boy, did that butcher get what he had coming to him.
