apocalypto is great movie. he may have said some anti-semitic things, but so did oliver stone in an interview. time to forgive.

totally agreed. Hollywood has been producing a lot of junk the last 10-15 years. Mel Gibson is one of the few putting quality on the screen.

I agree, Cowboy, he's pretty damned good as a director. He doesn't seem to have anything in the works right now, which is a real shame, but I hope it's from his choice rather than because he's been shut out.

He seems to be a bit of a problem personality in his private life, but that's no business of mine. I've never much liked him as an actor, but that's always been the case, even before he ditched his wife for a mail-order golddigger and then started slapping her around ... but I'll see any film he directs.

You might very well think that. I couldn't possibly comment.

Unfortunately Gibson is finished... He could direct a film that tops Braveheart and it wouldnt matter..He would be ripped limb from limb by the leftist media...
All the Jody Fosters ans Robert Rodriguezes of the world can sing Mel's praises until there blue in the face, it wont help him..

Guys like Oliver Stone and Alec Baldwin can do or say whatever with zero consequence but Mel Gibson's behavior will never be forgiven by the tolerant left...

I strongly agree; this is one of the best action/adventure/survival type of movies I've ever seen. Hats off to the Gibson, I want a sequel that picks up right where this one ended. :)

Screw Hollywood. Everyone has bad days and no-one is perfect. Many movie stars like to act that way and appear all politically correct to pimp another sucker into seeing their newest multimillion dollar train wreck. Mel calls them like he sees them, he's not perfect, but he is a pretty damn good actor and he blows away most action flicks with Apocalypto.
