Watching this movie, when JP is being chased in the jungle and the jaguar gets killed but the group of hunters, I always felt bad for the big cat. Obviously it's fake but still, the idea that it was just protecting its baby jaguar in the tree and gets brutally slaughtered just never goes unnoticed by me :(( id adopt the baby jag and give it a good life

You've thought about that detail too! I agree, just a protective animal caught up in the hassle. On second thought, if it consoles, there were likely other panthers that took care of the small one after that, since those kinds of animals hunt in packs like dogs or elephants.
