I agree. I especially like how he showed Jefferson very slowly losing his patience with Adams as the miniseries progressed. In the beginning he would look at Adams with admiration and affection. At the time of their split he was snapping at Adams and he seemed exasperated with the decisions that Adams made. Very good portrayal of how Jefferson may have behaved right before they decided to destroy each other during the election of 1800.
shareWhen I first saw this series back in 2008 I was very impressed with his Jefferson. Every scene that he was in, he stole the show, because you never knew what he was going to say, or how he was going to say it but you were waiting for whatever it was, and his character often spoke unpleasant truths that many didn't want to hear after the Revolution. Dillane as Jefferson was very enthralling, enigmatic and continuously kept you guessing...what is he going to do next? He's brilliant and crazy. More! There were always surprises. His character is very similar to...Matthew McConaughey's character in "True Detective."
Maybe they bring Dillane back as Jefferson for HBO's "Lewis and Clark" 2016, now filming. It wouldn't be a large role, if Pres. Jefferson's character will be written in at all. The focus of the series is the expedition itself, but maybe the first ep. when Jefferson commissions them, a few scenes reading letters sent from the expedition, and the end.
I say, why not bring Dillane back as Jefferson?

God, I never knew Stannis could be so hot ^^ He's actually very good-looking in this, and super charming as Abigail herself said!
I love the body language, so different from Stannis. He really is a fine actor.
I found him hot in this as well.
