this movie is about his son Shane Tanner taking on the drug dealers at the black pelican after his uncle Nate tanner is nearly killed in the first 10 mins , so lots of fights anf a little fighting cameo from old china o brien star richard norton (whos is looking more chinese than he used to)anyway not a patch on first but a decent watch for a friday night whilst girlfriend is away

Dalton being dead sucked. He was such a solid guy, and yet he went out like a pussy offscreen at the hands of Jake Busey. Why didn't he rip the bastards' throat out, like the previous times he'd been threatened with a gun!??!
This movie was a disgrace because of what it did to the good name and legend of the original characters. The writers should have just focused it on totally new people, with no relation to the originals, and that way the first film wouldn't have been ruined by this garbage. Maybe throw in a quick mention of Dalton as "That legendary bouncer" or something, but killing him off and making the main character his kid was moronic.

Maybe the sequel was written thinking Swayze might be in it.........
But he opted out and they had to accommodate that.....
And anyway........... Was it ever mentioned that his body was found???

Maybe Patrick Swayze had not wanted to do a sequel which is a shame and could be the reason he is not in this.

God this movie sucked.
Horrid horrid dialoge, terrible "homoges" to the original. (I thought you'd be bigger), ridiculous plot, terrible acting. I mean the list goes on and on.
How did Tanner survive having a knife burried into his spine? Just a flesh wound?
The pitiful attempts to connect this movie to the original was a joke.
They never explained who Shane Tanner's mother was. Was it Doc?
Why did he go by the name Tanner instead of Dalton because it's apparent he had real affection for his famous father.

Just do what the producers of Superman Returns did with Superman 3-4 . Just pretend it doesn't exist. As far as I am concerned Road house 2 is in an alternate world. Dalton is still alive and maybe one day Swayze will make a sequel to road house
