Not one mention of the man in black?

I thought the big documentary was going to be a lot more comprehensive than it was. When discussing Parts 5 and 6, there's never even a mention of the mysterious man in black who springs Michael out of jail at the end of Part 5. That was a major controversy and mystery to not even be addressed.

I forget what happened in Part 6. What was the whole explanation for that random guy in boots and hat?

I bet this was just as much a mystery to them as it is to us.

In Halloween 6 the man in black is explained as Dr Wynn who was briefly in Halloween. He kidnaps Michael as he has some sort of power over him. This was never fully explained and the idea was abandoned for H20. I suppose the story was just ignored in the documentary as it would be too complicated to explain why they started it, why it didn't work, and why they just dropped it.

Yeah, good point.

No one knew during filming what was going to happen and what was going on with the man in black character including Dominique Othenin-Girard. He was just put in there... this topic has been answered long before this DVD came out from poeple working on the film.

Bottom line, Dominique Othenin-Girard made a mess of Halloween and even though Halloween 6 attempted to continue and explain it further it didn't matter it was a stupid concept and a bad movie. Thank god the whole thing was abandoned in 98.
