Might I suggest to you Batman Begins? It has a coherent story, a dark setting, a protagonist we can emotionally identify with, character development, Katie Holmes, that epic training scene with Liam Neeson, and a credible origin story for a superhero. Or you can watch Heath Ledger suck the insides of his cheeks of course. Up to you.
