This shouldn't be No.4!!
More like 40th. Its just a superhero movie, nothing more.
shareIs it Sunday already? Time flies.
shareNo. It really isn't a superhero movie at all...

I definitely consider it the best super hero movie. Not so much The Avengers.
Metallica, Iron Maiden and My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic fan.
What does the genre have to do with the rating?

I can't decide where he stands on TDK's quality. He says "Its just a superhero movie, nothing more." Yet he still thinks it should be ranked #40. Not too shabby if you ask me.
The future is in the hands of a man who has none.(As in no future, as opposed to no hands.)
TDK is more then just a superhero movie. It's a movie about dealing with ones inner demons, and how chaos and insanity can seem normal. Just because a man wears a cape in the movie does not mean the movie cannot be art and prove itself to be so much more then what people label it as.
shareActually, it's not even a superhero movie. It is a dude in a costume in a crime-drama movie.
People confuse the morose tone and lack of CGI with actually being good. They "think" this is a comic book movie (when it is actually not) but since it doesn't have CGI and is really dark it is one they can like.
That makes about as much sense as people who don't like hard rock at all, but love the "hard rock song" Jump by Van Halen.
It is a dude in a costume in a crime-drama movie.
Nope. He's not super powered at all. He's just got gadgets and a fantastic vehicle. By those standards, fire fighters would be considered superheros.
share1. A superhero is any costumed character created for the comic book medium who fights crime.
2. A superhero is any character created for the comic book medium, costumed or non-costumed, possessed of extra-ordinary powers who fights crime.
3. A superhero is any character in any medium outside of comic books that is clearly derived or inspired by the ideas and concepts of those of comic book superhero's.
Examples of each;
1. Batman, Green Arrow, Iron Man
2. Superman, Thor, Wonder Woman
3. Hancock, Meteor Man

Again, if needed links can be provided showing comic book historians outside of DC referring to Batman as a superhero.
Not only is Batman a superhero he is one of the defining superhero archetypes.
