I'll agree with that, but I'll give Affleck the benefit of the doubt for now, if only to deliver something with the same quality as Gone Girl. If not, I won't be happy...

No really. The last two Transformers movies made over a billion dollars worldwide. Man Of Steel nor Batman V Superman did not. More pople would rather see the fourth instalment in a franchise that "everyone" hates rather than the historic first time deal on screen featuring Batman and Superman.
