Joker burning the money

What an epic scene. How he just declares his take over like that. The line "Why don't we cut you up into little pieces and feed you to your pooches? Hum? And then we'll see how loyal a hungry dog really is!?" sends shivers down my spine every time I watch it. Anyone else get goosebumps from that scene?

reply

I didn't get any Goosebumps but I did get three Animorphs a couple of Hardy Boys and a dog eared Fear Street.

So I was happy enough.

No. Pretty much like every scene he's in I yawned.

Pretty much like how when you come on screen the audience starts to sleep.

In that scene, Ledger's Joker was at it's most menacing.

Ironically the dogs would remain hungry, since he burned all their money. I guess he was expecting the Chechen's men to work for him for free...

All that is fine, except for him actually burning thing money. We get it, he isn't motivated by money; however, most people are. Even if the joker doesn't want the money, he could use it to pay his crew, buy weapons, or hideouts. There are so many uses for that money, so...why the eff does he burn it?

That part has always bugged me.

reply

Don't talk like one of them - you're not, even if you'd like to be.

reply

I have a theory he probably let his goons take their share of it. Again just a theory.

reply

He said he only burned his half.

Maybe he gave the other half to his men?

Besides, he's a man of simple taste. He likes cheap stuff.

I always thought that was him being funny.......he's only burning his half but all the moneys in a pile so he burns everything

reply

Don't you get it? "It's about sending A MESSAGE".

Much like his cousin; the bandit in Burma, Joker does not care for money.
Nor does he understand the use for it.
