Anyone else see this just for Yo La Tengo?

I liked it. You can't really complain about it being boring because it's only 76 mins (there might be some Yo La Tengo jams that go on longer than that). The lack of dialogue and smattering of Yo La ambience is great--really puts you there. Makes me want to get a dog and take my bearded friend up to the mountains.

Yeah, the movie is definatly worth it just for the music, but the movie as a whole is really an experience. I completely fell in love with it.

Great film. I didn't know about Yo La Tengo before I started watching ... what a treat.

Same here! When 'music by Yo la tengo'popped up on screen I shouted "Yes!" I had no idea they worked on this but their score is instantly recognisable as Yo la tengo and adds to the film.

I saw it for Yo La Tengo, but ended up loving the scenery, acting, and pace. I think a lot of people can identify with both of those characters too.

It was a pleasant enough meander. Oldham gave a natural performance. I don't know if he could act convincingly in anything outside of such a role, as it seemed very much the man playing himself; though of course some 'actors' can't even manage that.

I was hoping there would be much more scenery and walking, and that Oldham would have got a banjo out for a tune. Sorry, despite some comments here by what must be quite troubled people, no gayness was detected.

Yo La Tengo swapped their synths and gone acoustic? Their 'soundtrack' was of so little consequence it hardly merits the mention.
