what is it about?
about a killer cottage or wat? lol
wats the plot..?
Sorry if I got your hopes up when you saw a reply, but I don't know what the plot is. I noticed, however, that all the actors & actresses that are in the movie so far are all from England. So the movie might be filmed there, if one of the reasons why the director picked them was to make sure there wasn't a cultral difference. Another possiblity is that the film might only be released in Europe. If I do happen to come across the plot, I'll be sure to let you know. I'd apprecitate if you did the same.
Run and hide, but a face will still pursue you! -The Phantom of the Opera
well i am from england 2 but i dont even no the plot yet lol
but sure i'll let ya no wen i can
apparently its about a haunted cottage.
shareI'm hoping its based on James Herberts 'The Magic Cottage'. I read this ages ago, its based on a rock musician and his young wife who move into a cottage in the middle of nowhere. If I remember rightly a religious cult move in nearby and strange things start happening. Based on the cast listed so far, this could point towards being the premise of the film (fingers crossed).
"We thought we'd found our haven, a cottage deep in the heart of the forest. Quaint, charming, maybe a little run-down, but so peaceful. The woodland animals and birds couldn't have been more neighbourly. That was the first part of the Magic. Midge's painting and my music soared to new heights of creativity. That was another part of the Magic. Our sensing, our feelings, our love for each other - well, that became the supreme Magic. But the cottage had an alternative side. The Bad Magic. What happened to us there was horrendous beyond belief. The miracles, the healings, the crazy sect who wanted our home for themselves, the hideous creatures that crawled from the nether regions, and the bats - oh God, the bats! Even now those horrible things seem impossible to me. Yet they happened..." (Synopsis taken from cover)
Well, I'll be hoping this movie is what you think it is too because that sounds like a great plot. Then again it is based on a book so it can't be too bad now can it?
"What you call discovery, I call the rape of the natural world" -Dr. Ian Malcolm (Jurassic Park)
No, it's not based on the Herbert book.
In broad strokes, it's Texas Chainsaw Massacre meets Lock Stock. A kidnapping/extortion attempt goes belly up when the victim - a mobster's wife? - turns out to be a psycho. The kidnappers realise they've bitten off more than they can chew, she escapes and the hunt to find her leads everyone across country where they encounter a crazed farmer who cuts people up and puts them in pickle jars.
Don't get too excited.
That sounds pretty stupid...thats pretty much the whole movie...?
shareDoubt it - the writing credits on the film would mention him if it was!
shareMaybe it's Hollywood going into overdrive and pre-emptively remaking Japanese horrors that haven't even come out yet (I direct the jury's attention to Exhibit A, The Cottage [Za Coteji], due out here in Japan next week: http://www.wowow.co.jp/drama/cottage/).
shareLikely to be filmed in Northern Ireland. Yay!
Norn Iron 1 - England 0 Healy you hero!!!
It's a comedy horror. Late night silliness really.
***SPOILERS***
It's nothing very cerebral, just a laddish adventure involving some buffoon kidnappers, a blonde kidnappee who can head butt and cut them down to size a bit, then a monstrous deformed farmer who hunts them down.
