Which audience is this movie made for?

I am talkin as a series here. Both 1 and 2 film, as the review here also says are decent. Then i notice that its Disneys movie. Disney genuinely is related with kids. But although not much violence, it still isnt a movie for kids.

But personally i feel its like a modern poor mans Indiana Jones. Funny thing is that the movie is full of great hollywood names, but the movie doesnt feel great. Like i say, its a decent movie, but it doesnt really look like a superb movie. I dont live in america, but genuinely you see each hollywood star has his own series, aka Bale has Batman, Matt Damon has Bourney, Jackmann has X-men, Depp has Pirates and so on and on. Some better some less, mainly blockbusters, but still movies you genuinely look forward to.

But this...thats the case here for Cage, his series is this National Treasure, and compared to the series i mentioned earlier, it feels rubbish.

I have seen both 1 and 2 movie, but i didnt really get any fantastic impression in the end of the movies.
Then i happened to see the preview where Mirren, Harris, Keitel talk, credit each other, the director pops up saying its a wonderful experience etc.

I just aint impressed. So therefore i ask, who is the public who likes it? The story has too many plot holes, the "bad" guys aint serious enough, huge list of names, yet the movie still feels somewhat weak.

Just, is there huge fans of this series? Are you Cage fans who watch it? Or are you adventure movie fans?

It just feels as a movie aka Mirren saying, hey i havent played with Cage, count me in. Who do we get as the bad guy this time? Oh i know, Greenwood, his a great friend of mine or smth :P.

I just dont quite understand, youd think a star like Mirren would consider before making this movie, it must be the money then really?

this movie was made for the same audience that enjoyed Scooby-Doo and Space Chimps. Meaning: Little kids and adults who are fans of meaningless and nonsensical flicks.

This movie just as its predecessor sux big time.

2/10

Personally I find it to be in vein of Indiana Jones, but without the Nazis. Finally I hate it when people see Disney and think "kids" I prefer family as in movies for all ages, and people with imaginations, unlike a certain other person on this topic...

It's my opinion, get over it

Thank you, i hate it when people refer to Family films as 'Kids' movies. Especially just cause they're animated people say 'oh, its gotta be a kid's movie'. you ever see The Hunchback of Notre Dame recently? Jees, its DARK!(but beautifully well done!) Beuty and the Beast? The Little Mermaid? all wonderful films that are more amazing than if they had been made live action; but saddly if they were (and made by a different company) they would probably get more respect as a 'film' rather than a 'kiddie movie'. You want Kiddie? Watch the Suite life or Hannah Montanh (shows that GIVE Disney its bad rep)

Family Films are no less than 'regular' films. the only difference is that they don't boaslty swear or exploit sex. They can do well without all that, and anyone can enjoy them as such.

and for OP, I don't watch like these movies because of Nicholas Cage (actually its in spite of him) why i watch it is a mix of my love for the action/puzzles, and the fact that Riley is hilarious.

We've come to the conclusion that The Bird is greater than or equal to The Word.

Greenwood wasn't a villain, he was the president.

as for why certain stars would agree to these sorta movies well.....no matter how bad a movie may turn out, often the actors still had a great time making it. so sometimes actors probably just think it'll be a fun time regardless of the final outcome.
