Mount Vernon Has Started A 'National Treasure 2' Tour

Due to popular demand, Mount Vernon has started a "National Treasure 2" walking tour. It starts in the basement of George Washington's home, and proceeds down to the wharves on the Potomac River. It re-traces Nicolas Cage's steps after he "kidnapped" the President of the United States, played by Bruce Greenwood. Believe it, or not, but there IS a secret tunnel!! It was used by George Washington to bring provisions up to the mansion, during the winter. The walking tour runs from March 1, 2010, to December 31, 2010. The cost is $5.00, on top of the Estate admission charge. The Estate admission charge is $15.00 for adults, $14.00 for seniors, $7.00 for children (6 to 11) and FREE for children five and under. Tickets are limited because only 20 can take the tour, at a time, and the tour SELLS OUT FAST!

Oh, oh, the tour takes about an hour, it's fairly strenuous because it involves a lot of walking, down stairs, and tickets CAN BE purchased in advance by e-mail. Only groups of 20 can take the tour, at a time, because Mount Vernon is quite OLD, and susceptible to humidity and stuff.
