What is abigaile tryin to prove?!!? (ans- meanness)

One of the many things I found difficult to digest in this movie was the ZERO chemistry BWN ben n abegail

He almost behaved as if he were her resentful brother !!

N the only role abe had inthis movie was --
1) to give a jumping start to wilkinson in th treasure hunt by being so dumb n telling him what ben was up to ....
2) to be the pretty face by the side of the hero while he saves his country n family ( n she was not a pretty face )
3) to act like a typical American botch wife -- stay in her husbands home while he stays at his dads -- n this is not enough for them,,, date someone else too ... Behind his back... N probably have him home after the date to have sex with him .... YUCK!!

This sort of character kinda puts the viewer off !!

N while ben was selflessly trying to save his parents n ungrateful wife's life in the end ,,, she not only didn't offer to stay with him.... But also bring herself to kiss him for one last time !! I mean ...

It's the guys who need to be saved from such mean mean wives these days n not the other way around anymor !!! :-D
