This has probably already been noticed, but with the mystery of weather it is simon or thomas who pushes the mom into the bathroom, after simon finds his coin treasure and the mom starts yelling at him he pushs her hard backwards 5 times. So it seems like thats a way he takes out his anger, so I would think he would do this again.
shareIf it was a question than yes, it was definitely Simon who pushed her. Ghosts don't push people around... I even doubt that there were ghosts at all, at least I don't think they played any part 'till the end. I believe it was all Simon and then, it was just Laura's imagination. But the beautiful thing about it that it's not spelled out, you can interpret the movie your own way.
shareI think there is the inclination, toward the end, to see "The Orphanage" as an entirely "non-ghost" movie, but that probably is simplistic and problematic. The medium does reveal pertinent information. Simón does find Tomás's mask. Laura is led to the doorknob through a series of clues (Simón, "logically," couldn't have left the knob for Laura, as he'd've needed to use it to get into Tomás's room).

You sure take ghosts and their pushing abilities seriously.
Ghosts don't push people in this movie, no one cares about what they do in others. And just because they do interact with objects does not mean they can touch people.
