Horrifying Scene

For some reason the scene involving the seance when the woman was trying to contact the dead had my heart pounding out of my chest

That's because shortly before you had the unexpected moment of gore and terror with the old lady and the car accident....after that you're just waiting for something else really shocking to happen. That's brilliant film making.

very true rickyrockard.

And how realistic was that broken jaw? I thought it was a dummy the first time, but when she came back to life for a few seconds, the effect looked so real!

What a sport that actress was to let them smash up her jaw like that for the sake of her art!

Eww - still makes me shudder.

yeah also interesting was when the camera pans down to him giving her mouth to mouth, they use a couple of people to block the face. So you are kind of thinking ok we arent going to see the face it must be too *beep* up, but then few seconds later BANG we see it.

for me this was easily the scariest scene, it was so intense and you just had no idea if you would see something and what would happen next. when she opens the door and the kids are screaming and crying I thought my heart was going to bounce out of my chest lol

The one, two, three, knock on the wall scene freaked me out completely. I was so scared I was shaking.

the knocking game was the scariest part to me! It was so intense and fantastic!

That was the only part of the film that had any tension to it, if only the rest had been half as good :(
