I wasn't really enjoying this season, but Disney Night brought me back.
The opening was lovely. Took me back to my youth. Loved everyone in the audience wearing the ears.
Victoria/Val - The idea of a Steamboat Willie theme was very cute, but I thought the performance itself was lacking.
Vanessa/Maks - Enjoyed the Snow White costumes, set, and music. The dancing was good, as well, but the awkwardness between partners was hard to watch. And Vanessa seemed pretty bothered by Carrie Ann's critique.
Lindsey/Mark - Pinocchio performance was classic all around. Very nice.
Nick/Peta - Jungle Book theme was cute, but costumes and choreography could have been better. Nick was ok; I'm not sure if he'll improve much.
Drew/Emma - Rainbow Connection... so sweet. Costumes and routine were perfect for the song. Drew did pretty well with it.
Sasha/Gleb - Not a fan of The Little Mermaid, so I kind of checked out during this one. I do remember the cute frogs on the oar, though.
Terrell/Cheryl - Lion King set and song were fun. The routine was fine; not a standout. But the costumes certainly could have been better, especially with the extras.
Frankie/Witney - Pirates is my favorite Disney thing, so I might be biased, but I really enjoyed this performance. The set, the music, the costumes were all perfect. For being a true amateur, Frankie really brings it to the stage!
Jordan/Lindsay - Moana. Nice. Jordan has a lot of talent. Costumes were kind of basic, though.
Nikki/Artem - Really fun Mexican-style dance for Coco. Loved the vibrant colors, costumes, and tradition. Kinda wish we'd have seen the movie first, though.
Overall, a very entertaining night with all the extra Disney stuff thrown in. I'm concerned Frankie might be in danger. He's my fave. Maybe Vanessa should go since she and her partner are having issues.
