Surprised they didn't make a sequel
But who know, they're probably planning one right now.
shareIf I was going to end The Simpsons I would end it with a movie. Chances are though that the quality won't be there because it's been a shadow of its former self for so long. The 2007 movie was ok, but even then it was a good few years past its peak and nothing like as good as it could have been had it been made in the golden era.

I would be happy with a one hour combined Halloween/Thanksgiving/Christmas/Festivus etc. special once a year, but unfortunately the P.C. and Cancel Loons are in full flight right now. Part of the brilliance of the early years was the constant barrage against anything and everything. But at least I can still mine gold in the first 15 seasons to keep me happy.
If they do a movie to finish the series, they should bring back the original writing greats like Conan O'Brien and Mike Reiss.
