Why the army did not kill the missionaries in the village ?


Why the army did not kill the Americans when they invaded the village? They shot everyone and simply no American missionary died, and then were captured, had any intention or was luck?

And another question, Sarah would be raped and on the invasion of mercenaries to the rescue, was so many days there and would be raped and that day? Coincidence too? LOL

Some of them did die at the raid, atleast one of them was blown apart in that scene...Sarah I'm sure they intended on keeping around for their own sick pleasure.

I will answer this was some short and to-the-point answers:

Brown people killing brown people means no outside interference.
Brown people killing middle-class white people equals outside indignation and trouble for the bad guys.

The postponement of Sarah's abuse equals better bargaining power for her captors.

Unfair, but such is life, especially in the Third World.
