Rambo's father R. Rambo, does the 'R' stand for..?

Rambo? Is the dad's name really Rambo Rambo?
I know it's not unusual in arabic countries to have the same surname as last name, so maybe Rambo is of arabic heretic. Was that the twist of the movie?

pretty sure it stands for Rambo, which makes the dad named Rambo Rambo. Pretty weird huh? Maybe the 5th movie will explore more of this?

Likely it stands for "Richard," as in Richard Crenna who played Col. Trautman in the first three films.

Good one, supposedly Sly originally wanted Rambo III to end with Trautman revealing he was Rambo's biological father.
