Unless I had spotted Tarsem as the director, I never would have guessed it. His delight in beautiful imagery is certainly not on display on the trailer.

Thanks, I hadn't heard about this.

An interesting concept, but I'm not much of a thriller film fan. I'm still in search of other films along the lines of The Fall. I suppose Amalie is the closest I can think of. Wish Tarsem would do more films like this, but it looks like it was a one-off for him.

He made it to deal with his broken heart, and the movie never reaching a real audience, despite him spending enormous amounts of his own money on it, broke it all over again.

Sad.

Not surprising that he never made another like it.

Have you watched Pushing Daisies? TV show from a few years back with Lee Pace. It has a similar flavor to Amalie.

Aw, I didn't know that. That is very sad.

It's one of my top 5 all-time favorite movies. I was bowled over the first (and second, third, fourth) time I saw it.

Yes, I've seen Pushing Daisies. It's like Amalie Meets Dr. Seuss (the movie) 
