Feedback on The Broken
I loved Cashback and i would like to know if The Broken (the following Sean Ellis movie) is worth watching. I only know it's an horror movie. Is it as good as Cashback?
share"cashback" seemed to suffer from the typical issue that debuts films often do: despite being well-made, it seemed to lack direction, as if ellis did know what kind of movie he was making. "the broken" had a very distinct vision, so there was an improvement in that department. however, it's a fairly by-the-numbers thriller and nowhere near as interesting as "cashback." it's still worth checking out as it shows that ellis can do a film that's heavy on mood and atmosphere.
i suspect that 4 or 5 films into his career, he's going to do something great.
