Garbage

The movie had so much potential. They could have done some beautiful things, or interesting things, there were great characters (the two clowns in sainsburys were funny), a second time-pausing dude, they didn't even explore the rammifications of being able to pause time.

Instead, the entire movie was lost in a mess of self-indulgent, pretentious, trying-to-hard-to-be-artsy, drivel.

Oh, and before any feminists come in and start banging on about sexism and chauvinism and all that crap, let me just say SHUT UP. You're wrong, this doesn't objectify women in any way, it puts them on a *beep* pedastal and says that women, by their very nature, are beautiful works of art to be loved and cherished. So shut the *beep* up.

Waste of time, and waste of good talent (the actors, I mean.)

I agree that it was a self-indulgent and pretentious, however it was still a decent film.

Also, I'm not sure you know what the word "objectify" means.

I think it's pretty clear that you consider yourself a he-man stud with muscles aplenty, and have exactly 0% in common with the main character of this movie. Well, sorry, not everyone the planet is dripping with testosterone and for those of us who aren't - we "non-he-men" can identify with some of the insecurities of the main character, and his befuddlement of the mysteries of womanhood, especially as seen by youths just discovering sexuality in our teens and twenties, not to mention the pain of breakup (again, you as a he-man testosterone laced stud have only dumped other people, never been dumped yourself, obviously.)

If you read and understand the many quotes of this movie (see the quotes page), you'd realize that the narrative in this movie is some of the most vivid and lucid writing of any movie in recent years.

'nuff said.

So, what you're saying is, I get laid, and you don't, and that's why I think the movie is crap?

That's fine with me.
