Lame Cliche at the end

The whole 'woman misinterprets something and can't be reasoned with so the guy must really go out of his way to apologize even though she is wrong' plot point is a staple for poor romance movies.

His ex kissed him for 1 second while they were on their first(barely)date. Then she immediately loses her sh!t, refuses to speak to him and quits her job? She had already been on a date in the meantime of when he began to fall for her. Just lame. It was a peck, it could have been a greeting kiss. Such a hypocrite. Hell 1 minute earlier her own boss tried to screw her and make out with her, is it beyond the scope of her mind that she's not the only person in the world who people make advances on?

The whole "Do you trust me?" line at the end was just over the top. Clearly the bitch doesn't trust you, she saw something for a second from 50 feet away and immediately changed her life and condemned you without any chance of redemption. She'd probably toss herself out a window if his mother shows up and gives him a hug.

I don't understand the world of art. If some cans of soup make you the speaker for a generation, or dripping paint on a convas so it looks like a studio floor makes you a legend then I can believe anyone with any level of talent can be elevated to glory.

I don't want to start a new thread but another thing that bothered me was that he encountered someone while in frozen time and the movie took on a very dark and eery tone, and then...nothing? What happened? The film didn't develop that plot point at all.

That's not to mention that she didn't know him nearly long enough to consider all of the artwork featuring her romantic. That made him seem more like a stalker than anything else.

It's part of the larger cliche that 'Women are smart, men are idiots' that's common in sitcoms and romance movies.

Guys are always the in the wrong or the one who can't understand what she is feeling/thinking. It's the smart women who at least gives the guy a chance to understand.

I agree, the film really lost momentum after the party sequence. Just way too cliched.

Loved the movie other than that though! Just a shame they didn't catch that during the filming process.
