I saw that and I wasn't really sure what to think. I thought the next episode Jack and Mary were going to get back because of Jack, not some spell.

No I don't think we have seen it as such. Perhaps the boys have mentioned it in conversation and I missed it. Or its a topic which maybe raised in the next episode after the hiatus? I don't think the boys will use a spell, I think they will try their own method, unless Gabe comes to their aid and has some ideas, if he escapes that quickly?
Lol, I cant help but think of Charmed when Paige went to the "market" when demons were sent to go after baby Wyatt in season 5.
I keep trying to figure out how the next 2 episode are going to play out, but I have to wait. Don't want to get ahead of myself. See what "breaks" do to us??
I think the next 2 episodes are connected in some way, like a continuation maybe. Kinda hope I'm wrong, because that's a lot to happen in a few days. I want to believe Gabe will escape, but something has kept him there for years unless Ketch's heart grows 3 sizes and lets him out...I don't know. It would makes sense for him to get out and be involved in ScoobyNatural (unless there is another power out there similar with putting people in animation/tv).
It’s sounding like shades of Harry Potter. Who is writing this one? Funny how no one outside of Dream Walkers ever crossed dimensions and now it seems like there’s a spell to be had every time they turn around. Michael has his from Kevin doing his translating, Rowena will have hers from the Black Grimoire, Jack ripped the very curtain between, poor dead Kaia could skip and hop into them and now the boys will get their hands on another? Oh and Gabe will probably just happen to have heard it from a guy who heard it from a guy... bleh. Not feeling terribly excited here.
