I feel both annoyed and excited for this....
I like Jody, Donna, Alex, but that's about it.
I am sort of in the middle too, can't make my mind up. I like the cast, hope the stories match and they can carry a spin-off well. It's nice to have a show centred around women, nice feeling.
I didn't know at the time of watching the "Bloodlines" episode/backdoor pilot, that's what it was. I was confused and pretty frustrated to what was happening.
Yes, the series will be very "girl power" I just, like I want to like it. I hope I can "warm" up to the idea of Claire, because it sounds like she's going to be a lead, next to Jody and Donna......though I'm not really sure on that.. Is an ensemble cast?
I don't think Alex or Claire will be leads. That will I bet centre around Jody and Donna. The Daughters are just that, daughters! Claire is a hunter, true. But I don't think the show will be centred around her like they did with Sam in the beginning. Jody is the main character that will lead the series, that's what I envisage at least. If Claire god forbid is a lead, I will have to eat my words. As I am not a huge fan of her or Donna if I am brutally honest. I would just watch for Jody as I was pleased as punch when they wrote the pilot with her in mind.
She deserves to be centre stage, which is why I don't want her daughters involved as much within the story even though I love Alex. I get Jody needs a sidekick, and Donna does seem to bounce off well around Jody, but at times Donna irritates me. Hopefully, that will wear off the more I see her on screen?
I assumed it was going to be a Claire show - I read some article that the boys were interviewed in and it led me to believe it would follow her. She comes home, somethings wrong (brothers in trouble) they need to help (her help). I wished Alex was used just as much as Claire was; Alex was/is so much more likable. Claire is in about every single photo.
Here's to Jody, because she's perfectly suited to be the lead. Donna doesn't bother me, but I get it... and for a second I didn't think she was even in the backdoor pilot - in those photos I was getting confused because she looks like one of the "daughters"
Even if Claire, Alex, Patience and the new girl - Kaia? Are going to be "backseat" characters, they will most likely get an "episode" dedicated to them. They cant have these 4 "sisters" in the house and not use them - if we are to assume all of them will be living together? Plus, the show needs to be green lighted still, right? I mean, it's already better than Bloodlines..
Bella I totally agree. This show should be Jody as lead. Also I don't want a life lesson of the week show.
