Sam and Dean became redundant with the introduction of Castiel/Crowley

Does anyone else feel that Sam and Dean are totally pointless in regards to defeating the big bads of the show? Now, lets say post season 5, I mean Castiel is an angel who can travel back in time in the blink of an eye, why would a being so powerful rely on the strength of two humans to defeat a God-like adversary? Same with Crowley, he often teams up with the brothers to defeat a common more powerful enemy, but why rely on two humans when he has a legion of demons at his disposal? I get it, the show is about the brothers so obviously you need them for the plot, but with the introduction of Cas and Crowley who are more than capable to take on these larger threats the Winchesters themselves are quite redundant.

Well, if you think those characters made the Winchesters redundant - and you're not entirely wrong - buckle up because the Wayward Sisters are poised to make the guys entirely irrelevant. As in, the Js literally may as well stay home.

Oh, and Jim Michaels just announced on twitter that the 2-part midseason episodes will be devoted to the WS, not the original stars or the mothership.

That's a bit much, one episode is about as much screen time as it should get. Not two back to back and not even show our leads, jeeezzz.

I'm actually looking forward to Wayward Sisters, I hope it can get back to the feel of seasons 1-3 of supernatural. I want to take demons seriously again. I'm surprised they're doing a 2 parter for the spin off show. I don't know if that's a bold move because they are really confident in it or desperate to get a spin off cos Spn will be ending soon.

If Castiel/Crowley made the Winchesters redundant fasten your seatbelt Jack is going to turn them into sitcom nannies.
