Plot/Storylines

What storylines do you guys think the show should of explored more? I think they should of explored nephilim earlier on.. not the spawn of lucifer crap we have now..

I loved the story of Prometheus and Zeus I think that could have been explored more and I also think the Alpha's was none existent and deserved much more screen time that it actually got. I also think the history of the Colt should be explored much more. Then there is Dean's drink problem that slightly surfaced during S6/7 and never to be mentioned again. It would show us another layer of Dean, also if Sam's powers are totally dead, and gone or still in him? Did the purification of the trials really cure him or could they come back?

I agree with Bella about the Alphas. There should be one for every monster species out there, but I'd also add that Eve should have explored more, maybe throughout S7 with the Leviathan and Eve raising their own monster armies against one another. I think they should have done more with the Purgatory storyline. The set up for it in the S7 finale was good, but then they did a time jump, and we got what we got at the start of season 8. I think they should have explored or maybe gone a different way with the angels in S9.

I'll admit that I didn't like the idea for Demon!Dean when it was first introduced in the S9 finale, but they went there, so they should have followed through on it. Instead of curing him in the 3rd episode of S10, they should have at the very least had him cured in the 200th episode, but really, I'm thinking it would have been interesting if he stayed a demon a little longer and maybe worked with Sam, hunting while he figured out which side he was on - humans or demons - enjoying killing for the sake of killing as he went along and Sam putting some work into finding the cure behind his back - much like he did with the Mark, I suppose, and maybe it still could have been for the Mark.

In S11, I think they should have explained what Amara wanted from Dean. I don't think it should have been a non-con thing the way it was played at times. It was just cringeworthy to me, especially with the lack of explanation for it until the end in a simple she wanted Dean to replace Chuck. I think it should have stayed strictly platonic, like maybe she wanted him to be her champion, but he was done killing. I could live with him not killing as much in S11 and 12 if there was an explanation for it. In S12, there was a lot I didn't like, but I think Mary's journey/struggles would have been better to follow. It wouldn't have trashed her character as much if we saw that instead of one episode she's struggling, the next she's the best hunter that's ever lived.
