Meta

Can someone here please explain to me how either of tonight's episodes were Meta. Dabb is an idiot.

reply

I think that them mentioning The French Mistake and their parts in the 'alternate universe' were the Meta. Technically, he said it was the most meta finale they've done, so in that, I guess he was right. I'm actually glad they didn't do any more than that, or I'm sure they would've ruined it.

reply

I guess....but absolutely nothing Dabb said about this episode was accurate.

He did say that people were going to die and blah, blah, blah, but most of it was bollocks. I have a problem with the stupid involved in the deaths. Rowena was killed off screen. Crowley's death was actually a pretty good death, and I could see him hating Lucifer enough to do something like that if it meant trapping him there, because Meg hated Crowley that much, but Cas? Why the hell did he storm in and then out of that portal like that, and why didn't the portal close before any of that happened if the spell took a life, and Crowley killed himself? Mary walking down the steps to take on Lucifer kind of came out of nowhere too. It was just kind of like . . . oh, well, you lost those two, Sam and Dean, here's another one to add to the mix. It was just a weird transition and odd pacing for her to show up like that.

Also, can I just add how angry it makes me that Crowley didn't plan for that reverse polarity b.s.? Thought for sure he was working a plan. I think it makes me dislike episode 12.21 even more.

reply

Don't get me started on the reverse polarity. It became a total joke on Star Trek and that was 20 years ago.

reply

That is my problem with God. A joke.
