its busy here
so busy
shareIt is. I mainly lurk but they are all nice here, respectful and knowledgeable. All the good bits of IMDB without the horror. :) and they are adding things to the site all the time.
shareI don't think we'll be busy over the summer hiatus. But once season 13 starts, I think this site will become quite active. Hope so, anyway. :)
I'm kind of looking forward to the annual hiatus games to be honest.
shareClue if you think of any NEW games, do share. The Hiatus can be boring as hell if we don't have much entertainment going on. I think it will also help keep the board active. I remember a while ago Woodstock used to do an Adlib thread and it was brilliant but it took a lot of work to keep the thread going and think she gave it up. I miss Woodstock!
I remember you tried to get an elimination game going for all the episodes one time, I think. It was an interesting concept, because I'd like to know what people's all time favorite episode is. Whenever that question gets asked, people always give more than one, but if they're voting, it makes the choices clearer on which one they actually like most.
What if we did something like that, but pitted all the premieres against one another, all the second episodes against one another, all the third episodes against one another, and so on and so forth (all in a single thread). At the end of the first round, we'd have the most liked episodes 1-23 for all the seasons and then could narrow them down to the most liked episode of all in the final round? You'd probably want to get through the first round a little faster than the final round, so maybe people could vote every 6 or 12 hours on all 23 episodes in the first round. Some seasons don't have all 23 episodes, but I don't think that really matters as long as the finales line up with one another? It'll still take up time over the hiatus, but not so much time that people lose interest.
I also think I remember the ad lib thread . . . it did take a lot of work to keep it going. What if we had a Supernatural themed mad lib thread?
I love the sounds of both, and I think it was finalsmash who did the vote threads for seasons and episodes. We could do that to find out people's top ten of all time episodes. Will definitely think about that one. It was a Mad Lib thread that Woodstock created not an adlib shows my poor memory is failing me again. We could look into this one if I remember how it went.
Thanks for your thoughts clue ...
An episode elimination game would be great . I was also thinking a friend and or frenemy elimination.
shareI was also thinking a friend and or frenemy elimination.
I was thinking the board can randomly start a list of friends and also start a list of frenemies. Once those lists are done then pit friends vs. friends . Then pit frenemies vs. frenemies. Maybe as you vote you must explain why said person should move on.
shareThat's pretty good. What if we had a list of all the friends and a list of all the enemies and voted for a friend to go up against an enemy. We could use the show to set up some kind of power hierarchy, so number of appearances or number of kills or whatever gives the friend or enemy more points, so when people vote against the friend or enemy, it's harder to get rid of them than the weaker opponent, but can still be done with enough votes?
That might be way easier to do then what I was thinking.
shareTook a minute but we've built a community here :)
shareIt is nice here too!!!
shareYes definitely love it here!
shareI check out this site and PTV every day. This is the friendlier site. PTV get their knickers in a knot if you don't post in the correct thread which is a bit restricting.
So here is best for me. Hope more of the old gang return.
This is nicer than imdb (no trolls) but previously.tv is also nice and much busier.
shareWe will get busier moongazer this site is only a couple of months old. Considering, we have grown in such a short space of time. I agree with the trolls. IMDb to me felt like home for years as it was the only place I posted so I was lost when it closed down. I almost went through a bereavement time. I was so upset. A certain few spoilt the place which used to be very happy. We love how Moviechat is growing, and one day it will be huge, I am confident in that.
I tried PTV also. But I was afraid I was going to say the wrong thing. I do like reading the comments though. Some of them are really funny and clever.
