One episode to go and I'll start ten. I remember it starting out with demon Dean and took it from there.
So don't think I abandoned my supernatural family. I'm getting caught up. Hopefully before netflicks adds season 12. That way I can catch up a little.

shareIt didn't drag as much as the first time. I think the first half was the clincher and bloodlines. It all ends so abruptly, hoaxes or the brothers are downplayed. The second half was more enjoyable.
I staeyes the first episode of season ten and it seems like a time jump as Megatron is locked away, Dean disappeared and being his bad self. I have to say season ten starts off better so far. It has more energy.

Thanks godewey. I got done watching another episode and let me just say demon Dean hasn't disappointed. Man, it seems the writers have gone all out this time around actually having him kill a man. But it feels more like they are keeping him netural. Dean did it so that his soul wouldn't go too hell. Also drunk Dean was hilarious and singing karaoke was genius.
shareStrannger, I thought you were watching our time that we were all in the same place. I haven't watched S9 in a while, wasn't that the whole Gadreel stuff, where he took his own life? What are your favourite and the least favourite episode of that season? Like others have said, keep watching it is worth it. And there are some good episodes among them. The Mythology is good too during S9. Have fun!
shareOh, I watched the first eight seasons and finished nine once. I forgot some details, but rewatched it and now I'm into the fourth episode of supernatural now. So I'm only three seasons behind. So until netflicks uploads twelve I will at least be able to follow some of your discussions with out being lost.
Also don't let me inconvince you guys. Spoilers never bothered me and if you feel like discussing the new season in detail go for it. It may even enhance it for me when I finally get to it. Some episodes I liked:
I think I'm gonna like it here as the angels falling was very eciting cliffhanger and I was really thrilled to see where they would take it. I was disappointed later, but I enjoyed the premise that set it up.
First blade as I loved Cain's version of events and The mythology.
Blade runners as the first blade intrigued me. The black market for magical items was different from eight and I felt was handled better.
Mother's helper as we get more info about abaddon and Henry. I felt it was a waste not including more backstory and this really helps full in some missing blanks.
The last two episode as it finally picked up on metatron's plans forward and lead to demon Dean.
Cain was amazing and Blade Runners was such a pivotal episode in Dean's New Cain storyline.

shareIt was quite entertaining. I didn't think Dean could be as scary as season three where his eyes turned black in his dream. But the way he screamed demonically and almost took out Sam with a hammer had my heart pounding. My only complaint as it's over. Very shorted lived. I wonder why it didnt last a full season?
shareWhen they killed Magnus off, that really peed me off because he was such a strong character and only in 1 ever episode. I hope they bring him back. But very much doubt that. He had a big influence on me, just like Cain did. Cain's death really affected me, as did Kevin's. Season 9 was a pull on the old heartstrings because of the number of deaths. Even Gadreel's was a shock. I grew to really love Gadreel and miss Tamho. I loved Blade Runners was such a good episode. This season is short on Mythology and for me, that's what makes this show stand out and feel special. The writers know their Mythology and make it interesting and very intense. I find I am much more engaged when watching the mythology side of the show.

I think you will feel lost for a bit until you catch up, but you can always go back and read these comments now and see what we've said and if it matches up with your feelings later on. Let me ask you Belle why did they decide on a time jump. It makes no sense. As you said Gadreel finally turned over a new leaf which seemed like a bold move only for Dean to kill him. Later on Metatron was in a cell, Cas got his followers back like Hannah and Dean was gone. It feels very adrupt. Like a while episode was planned and dropped.
But I agree the show is always at it's best wgeb it tackles it's own mythology. It should do it more often.
