Speculate away.
I think that's the Colt that Mick is giving Sam.
I'm thinking we'll get protective Dean starting in this episode with regard to Kelly.
I wonder if after Mick fails to kill Kelly, the BMoL either use Ketch to capture Mary for an exchange in a later episode or call Mary in to get into the bunker and deal with it. I know the photos can be misleading, but it looks like Mary and Ketch aren't there to deal with Dagon. Instead it is Eileen who is helping the Winchesters, so what's Mary purpose in this episode?
That is the Colt and it looks like Sam and Eileen are working with the BMOL's when it is handed over and Dean is somewhere else. Does this mean Dean doesn't know about the Colt and it will finally be revealed? I hope that Dean gets his moment to understand the depth of Mary's betrayal.
Ketch and Mary seem to have been in bed together judging by the trailer from last week. So I don't know how Mary fits in other than her character gets even more unlikable.
Mick looks like he has been brainwashed by Ms. Evil (also in the trailer) so he may be having a crisis of faith when confronted with killing a pregnant woman.
I wish the ep was being written by anyone other than the duo but fingers crossed they have been known to have an acceptable episode at least once a year. Unfortunately they also kill off likable and popular characters for the sake of "drama" (or what I would call good writing) so I fear for Eileen.
We got a glimpse of Dean with a gun in the opening seconds, and then... he's driving the car. Again. Given the way this season is going, I have zero faith that Mary's betrayal and then both her and Sam keeping the Colt secret from Dean will be addressed in any satisfying way. Heck, maybe we're supposed to assume that he already knows, having been told 'off screen'. Sam brought up the Alpha Vamp being dead thanks to Her Majesty's Secret Suckbags - are we to believe that Dean never asked how they managed that? Doesn't seem reasonable. Therefore it follows that they either lied about it, or told him the truth and it's NBD. Hey, Mom was only willing to let us die to get, no biggie.
shareI fear that the Colt isn't going to be given the importance it deserves and Mary's betrayal is going to be glossed over. I really don't understand this season at all.

Same here. I'd say I wish this season would hurry up and end but I don't see season 13 being any better with Dabb at the helm.

"We got a glimpse of Dean with a gun in the opening seconds, and then... he's driving the car. Again."
In one of the photos he's standing next to Sam and aiming a gun at Dagon, so he's not just going to be driving the car . . . I hope. I think the million dollar question is who gets to kill Dagon (if she dies and doesn't just leave at the first sight of the Colt). I wish I could simply say that Dean killed Azazel, so Sam/Eileen/Kelly/Mary/VotWs/random shop clerk getting to kill the other 3 YEDs will never in any way be as cool or important as that but it certainly waters down Azazel's death to make it so easy now. It also waters down the show's history concerning Dean and Sam, their upbringing, Seasons 1 and 2, and John.

Almost everything of importance regarding character interaction has been dealt with off-screen this season, so it wouldn't surprise me either.
Mick. Eileen, Dagon, Kelly, looks like there's going to be a lot going on in this episode.
shareOoops....
The page you were looking for could not be found. We're getting one of our trained technicians on the case but in the meantime...
Keep getting this message, it's not showing me pictures
Good to see you Gonzo!
Nothing in these or the promo's that are inspiring any confidence. Looks like Sam is going to be the official Colt keeper and big boss slayer from here out. I think it will be a skip for me.
shareThere was an episode shoot - I thought it was this one - where supposedly the Js didn't work almost at all, maybe a day. But from the sounds of the stills and promo, it's looking like it's only Jensen who didn't work. Again.
So if this is the one, I was planning to skip it anyway.
"where supposedly the Js didn't work almost at all"
This is getting absurd. What' s the point of the show if those two no longer show up? Yes, I'm being dramatic but this is aggravating. We're in the final stretch to the finale and they have more Winchester-lite episodes in store for us? Pfft.
I think what we're going to see from now to the end of the season is more and more focus going onto the British Men of Letters (Ketch, Mick, Mick's boss, Toni, etc.), Mary, Crowley and Lucifer, and maybe something to do with the angels and Cas . . . where do the Winchesters fit into that? They don't except to maybe babysit Kelly. Can't really blame J2 for not being there when there's nothing for them to do.
shareIf this is J2 light then they better be ready for another ratings drop next week. You can only fool people for so long by making the main characters look like they have a big story when its really about side characters. I can't say that is the only reason for the drops but continually getting peoples hopes up then crushing them only gets you so far.

I agree with you.
Though I can't blame them for taking the money and not working as hard on set if they are being offered that option.
Because from the looks of this episode pictures and promo this could be Mick's 'Man who would be King' episode and it took three seasons for Cas to get that. Because I can see us getting Mick's POV mostly. Even if we do get a bit of Mary and Ketch's horizontal tango on the side. With regard to the boys all we could see will be Mick seeing Dean in the car while he rewards Sam with toys for still not seeing that the MoL are bad news.
Also even though I hope the story with the baby ends up with someone like Lily, I wouldn't be surprised if Dabb ends up pulling a charmed and Dagon ends up carrying that baby so they can say they can justify killing it.
If she wasn't losing her soul, Lily would be a perfect surrogate mother for a baby seeing as she misses the child she lost.
shareYeah, I think it was this one. Vegas Con was on while this was being shot.
