Be careful what you wish for! Even if this worked and the show was to be revived on another network, it would be a completely different show. After a few months like the case of Jericho, a show can get its cast and production staff back together because they are ready to continue with producing another season, but after one year, most of the actors have moved on and can't do this project, and a lot of the writers are gone too. Some of you might be too young to remember, but in the case of the original Battlestar Galactica, it came back after a year off with new production crew and few of the actors from the first season and a lower production budget, it was for all purposes a completely new show that sucked beyond belief! All of us fans at the time that wanted it back were so disappointed after the first episode we lost interest and only this decade got what we really wanted back, the original idea.
I think in the great scheme of TV things, what doomed invasion was the competition, there were 3 new alien shows the same season, and most critics liked the CBS show more. All 3 of these shows failed, because there just isn't enough sci-fi interest to give them all support in ratings to the point they can overcome their high production costs. If any of these alien shows had started in a season by themself, maybe they could survive, but not with all this typical network TV copy-cat mindset. Don't feel bad, not being able to make enough money happened to much better sci-fi such as StarTrek, the original Battlestar Galactica. Sorry invasion fans, get over it, your show is gone, find another one
