Is Rose's age ever mentioned in the show?

Ok, I'm up to the episode where Tom gets shot, is in the hospital, and there are flashbacks to his plane crash.

Larkin is viewing old footage of when Tom is released from the hospital after recovering from his plane crash and it's revealed that Tom and Mariel's affair has started, ten years ago.

Rose, to me, doesn't appear to be 10. Everyone is still picking her up and carrying her. Do people do that with children over five years of age?

What I'm wondering is... is Rose really Russell's daughter or is she Tom's? Does this question ever come up in the series?

She has 5 or something. It is implied that Mariel has an affair with Tom during her marriage with Russell.
Despite having Rose with Russ', she was close of Tom.

She's actually had 8 years. Now 18.
