What was great about this show was the invasion plan is structured pretty much flawlessly that it makes such great sense and an excellent plan. Make copies of humans, that have no idea they are copies, which are altered to be breeding vessels for the actual invading species. The copy/host carries on almost undetectable and for the most part unbeknownst even to themselves and without any knowledge of what has actually taken place or that there is even some agenda in play. It's especially brilliant if in the actual birthing the host dies because it destroys any potential future opposition.
I would have loved to seen how this played out. This is one of the reasons I hate American TV productions that end seasons on a cliffhanger instead of a conclusion because if the show isn't picked up for another season the viewing audience gets screwed. You would think that if they knew a show was going to be canceled, one that ran for at least a full season, that they would at least make some sort of impromptu ending for the sake of appeasing the viewers who followed the show for that long.
