I've read almost everywhere that Zoey is one of the least favorite girlfriends for ted.

Is that the reason she got such a bad send off?

Probably not. She came in as an antagonist, why would she get a happy send off? What exactly was bad about her sendoff anyway? It started with an argument over a building and that's how it ended as an issue that they couldn't move passed.

I think the main issue with Zoey is that it was so obvious from the minute we met her that she and Ted were not a good match for each other, and we knew already that she wasn't the mother so it was hard to get invested in a relationship that was just going to be drama and angst.
Now, relationships like that do exist and are realistic and are similarly hard for observers to get invested in, so I don't think her send off was that bad. Sometimes there's just nothing left to say.

The actress left to be on Once Upon a Time. From what I heard, the producers let her out of her contract early so she could do the pilot. It was actually cool of them to let her go.

Ohh, I knew I know her from somewhere, yes, she was in Once Upon a Time!

Personally, I liked them together with Ted, she seemed to love him genuinely and they were a good match IMHO. I always wondered, why they ended their relationship so abruptly, it made no sense. Now it makes sense, if she left for be in the Once Upon a Time
